Rosana Joerg, raised in the Bay area of northern California was fascinated with art and |
foreign cultures from an early age. She moved to Europe at 19 to study art and design.
Traveling between Athens, Milan, Paris, London and New York for 20 years, she became
a successful, international fashion designer designing for top names as Christian Dior,
Mila Schon, Ted Lapidus and Valentino. In 1995, she created her own couture collection
‘LaJoerg Originals’.
In 2003, she discovered a new passion in glass design. Accustomed to creating high quality
products, she went to Murano, Italy to study the secrets and techniques of glass blowing
directly from the Muranese glassmakers. Her fluent Italian and dedication to original design
resulted in several unique glass collections .
Her first designs were a series of hand-blown glass vases and lighting sold under the trade-
mark ‘The Onde Collection.’ ‘Onde’ meaning wave in Italian, the designs were inspired by
the splashing of waves solidifying into glass.
In 2005, the ‘Onde Venezia’ Glass Jewelry and Table Decor Collections were created.
They are being sold in fine jewelry stores, museum shops and luxury hotel gift boutiques
in Europe and the U.S.
'Onde Venezia' and 'The Onde Collection' are designed and handmade exclusively in
Murano, Italy under Rosana's supervision and according to the expertise of master
Muranese glassmakers.

The Onde Venezia Glass Jewelry and Table Décor Collections were created in 2005 by
Rosana Joerg in Murano, Italy. The jewelry started as mostly an exploration into various
glassmaking techniques in 2004. While waiting for her blown glass lighting, 'The Onde
Collection' to cool down in the kilns there, she passed her time taking courses in
‘lampworking’ with the top Muranese glassmasters.
She started with glass beads and rings. The glass rings quickly became an obsession as
ideas came faster than the time to make them. It was so much fun and the response
from everyone who saw them was phenomenal. Everyone wanted to have them!
In 2005, her first ring collections were sold to the Ilias Lalaounis Jewelry Musuem in Athens,
Greece. It is now one of the largest glass ring collections in the world with over 100
fashionable and modern designs.
In 2006, the jewelry line expanded to include beautiful glass pendants, earrings, bracelets
and necklaces. With Rosana's background in fashion, she designs with fashion trends
and colors in mind and adds new designs every season.
In 2007, the first table decor designs were introduced and The 'Elia Collection' was launched.
It is a very unique and exclusive glass olive collection of branches, wreathes and napkin rings.
'Elia' is the greek word for olive and was inspired by the beauty of the Mediterranean region.
It is also an international symbol of peace.
